Incident Details
  • Incident Description: I was doing a load of laundry using the quick wash cycle and I heard the washer chiming so I went to check to see if the load was done. There was a code on the digital screen, "dc". I checked the user manual and it said it was due to an uneven load. I checked the load and it did not appear to be uneven. I then turned the washer off and used the spin only cycle and it worked fine. Since then, there are times the washer will perform properly, but it is happening more and more that when in the spin cycle the washer drum is spinning out of control, hitting the sides of the washer until it stops with the code "dc". It doesn't seem to matter what size load that is in the wash and the load is not uneven. I spoke with Samsung and they will replace the top with more secure latches, but I dont believe that it corrects the issue as to why the tops of the machines were coming off so violently.
