  • Incident Description: This caller is reporting his dishwasher which he states that the upper rack is pulled out on gliders. He is reporting that the connector that attaches the upper rack to the gliders is faulty, could easily break instantly causing the rack to drop, presenting consumer with a sudden, heavy weight and potentially lead to users to be injured by either the rack hitting their hand or possibly glasses or dishes breaking, also potentially causing cuts. A connector repair kit has manufactured and was included in a repair to this callers dishwasher at his expense. Caller attests that this safety issue is well known to the manufacturer Adjuster part # W10712394. This part was re-designed by manufacturer replacing plastic with metal parts because of many failures reported. The caller was charged for this "adjuster" and is asking that this connect 2 adjusters & gliders become recalled or become an automatic repair from manufacturer at manufacturer expense. He would also ask to be reimbursed by the manufacturer for this repair due to it's being a safety issue.
