Incident Details
  • Incident Description: I own a simplicity drop side crib that apparently was recalled. I did not know this at the time. It came from a "nursery in a box" set that included a changing table and dresser. The drop side plastic piece broke off and now the drop side will no longer stay up or be held up. This happened when my child first woke up and stood up (most likely pulling herself up on the bar of the drop side). I heard her say, "Uh Oh" and when I got to her room, the left side of the drop side had completely detached from the side of the crib. From that date on, we moved my child to a toddler bed (at 1 year old) and have not used the crib. We assumed it was just expected to happen since she was the second child to use the crib. Now I am pregnant again and researching what I can do to fix it. I thought maybe I could order a new plastic part to replace the broken piece. It sounds like I need to return it for a refund?
