68 YOM reported that Induction Stove has faulty stove top heat selection dial. One of stove top induction coils randomly turns on by itself. He received couple of mild burns from grabbing empty pot or metal spoon rest d/t this malfunction. He got 1st aid.

  • Incident Description: Frigidaire Induction Stove model FGIS 3065 PFD has a faulty stove top heat selection dial. The stove randomly turns on one of the stove top induction coils by itself. This is a slide in stove model used daily in a kitchen setting. I’ve received a couple of mild burns from grabbing an empty pot or metal spoon rest due to this dangerous malfunction. I chatted with a Frigidaire service representative and was told it was out of warrantee.
