  • Incident Description: I purchased the Onewheel XR and it arrived last week. The safety flaw comes when the product either is pushed beyond the limits of product or if there is a failure in the computerized system. When either thing happens, the board immediately shuts down and the board tips forward at about 45-degree angle. This product reaches 20 mph.. As an example; please consider riding a normal four-wheeled skateboard: When it becomes necessary to bail off a skateboard, it is possible to jump off and outrun the fall because the skateboard remains level. But, the Onewheel tips forward at high speeds during a catastrophic failure (which can be caused by exceeding the product's capability-and if this happens it's at highest speed, 20+mph and suddenly it tips forward at the extreme angle and results in catapulting the rider headfirst into the groun). This is a fatal flaw as people have died because of this obvious flaw. Please refer to a huge number of [REDACTED] videos that clearly demonstrate the inherent danger associated with this terrible design flaw and safety hazard.
