Incident Description: While I (a 64 year-old adult with an engineering degree) was using the [REDACTED] to cut replacement pet window screening, the cutting blade (Stanley 11-983) pivoted within the tool handle and pried open the tool handle exposing the users hand to the opposite end of the cutting blade. Eventually the blade completely dislodges from the tool. No injury occurred as it was obvious the blade was not cutting well due to the changing angle of the blade.
