50 YOM's water slide was very unstable and never held its air pressure. After he bottomed out on his back, slide was taken down, folded up, & stuck in loft in garage. He received no first aid or medical attention for his injury.

  • Incident Description: my wife and i bought a bonzai falls water slide at wal-mart in 2007, we used it one weekend with the grandkids 4th of july, it was very unstable and never held its air pressure, we were not the hit of the party like we thought we would be, after i bottomed out on my back. we took it down, folded it up, stuck it up in the loft in the garage and thats where it has been ever since, we just chalked it up to a bad idea investment and cut our losses of about 300.00, we now learn there is a recall of this product, however, our model is the bigger one... " bonzai falls water slide"... the one the recall mentions states .. .".pool slide"... i do not see any difference as ours could also be set up next to a pool and we did have it set up on a hard surface that 4th of july weekend. i believe these products are dangerous, as we had adult supervision that day as children and adults were both using the slide for the short time until we made the decision to take it down.
