I am very disappointed with Whirlpool. We bought 4 new appliances in November of 2016. While under warranty- the ice maker had to be replaced 2 times. I appreciate that Whirlpool extended my warranty a few more months since it happened twice within a year and I was hesitant it would happen again. But ice maker is not working again- I can deal with that. I can call to get it serviced. But while I was trying to figure out what was wrong- and getting the ice out that was stuck in my ice dispenser... I noticed my ice dispenser and water dispenser both have MOLD growing on them!!! And I have no clue how long it has been there! I am now out of warranty- and understand (sort of- although I think it is BS since it’s been replaced twice) why they won’t fix the ice maker.... but they won’t do anything about the mold. Whirlpool won’t even pay for an $80 service call as a customer courtesy to figure out why there is MOLD!

I have 5 kids of my own- and provide daycare to a few other children who are not mine. I am liable on any given day for all of these children’s lives who are not mine. God forbid, if something happened to one of them because of the mold- I would be liable. Not to mention if something happened to one of my children. From the Whirlpool Website.....

"We care about our customers and their families as much as we care about making quality appliances. If you need something, just let us know – from setting up Whirlpool service and repair appointments, to proper cleaning or maintenance techniques, to finding you the Whirlpool appliance manual you need, our customer care team can help. Start by registering your Whirlpool products today, then browse our owner’s center to get the help and accessories you need to care for the appliances that care for your family."

It's obvious that Whirlpool truly does not care about their customers and their families as they will not do anything to make this right.

I have the product because I cannot afford a new refrigerator at this time. I have contacted the manufacturer on many occasions. This last one was this morn and they told me I am out of warranty so their was nothing they could do.
