Caller is reporting that his spouse experienced similar problem of recall [REDACTED] with the leaf blower. Hazard: The plastic fan inside the electrical blowers can break, causing the fan blades to be discharged from either end of the blower tube. This poses a laceration hazard.

He stated that his spouse was using the unit when the incident occurred, the broken fan blades discharged causing her to received bruises on upper right leg, no medical attention was received.
The company was contacted and he was advised that they would pick up the blower and provide a replacement which he feels that might be covering up the evidence. He is concerned that the company is aware of the problem but not addressing the safety of the product.
