Comment from Valken Incorporated 4/9/2019
Valken Inc. has supplied lithium polymer batteries under its “Valken Energy” brand since September 2014 with little incident. Every inquiry or report received prompted testing of on-hand stock, a review of production records, and a thorough investigation through to successful conclusion. All incidents arose from the improper care of the battery - including using an incorrect charger when charging the battery. Valken Inc. continually updates its product warnings and instructions as necessary to ensure the proper use and care of the product.

Unfortunately, the information provided in the current matter does not allow us to complete a full investigation. We do not have details related to the purchase date and lot, the model number or the consumer’s usage. We are hopeful with this posting that the end user will reach out to us so that we can investigate and take any action as appropriate. We would also like to assist the consumer with the issue they have experienced. At the same time, we have undertaken a fundamental review of the safety of the battery and are testing all of our on-hand stock of such batteries.
