I had a Cuisinart model DFP TX food processor. It was an old one and I had replaced the lid twice because the tab that held it in place broke. I replaced the bowl once because the new lids did not fit the old bowl. The spring loaded pin on the work bowl that connects into the main part of the processor as a safety device jammed. I was able to remove the lid but not the bowl. After unsuccessfully attempting to get it released, we finally decided to at least try to get the food out and clean it. When I went to tilt it, I accidentally pushed the button and it started up without the lid on. Needless-to-say, that spinning blade could have been very dangerous and fortunately I was not injured although I was not too happy about the mess. Yes, I realized immediately that I had not unplugged it but I honestly didn’t think it would run.

I sent 2 mails and finally called & talked to a co. rep who said they would repair it and the only cost to me was shippling. I sent it to them so I don't have the serial #. I got an invoice after 6 weeks for $124 to have it repaired. I did not pay it.
