An article about the Cuisinart food processor blade recall said the CPSC would like reports of blade breakage. My DLC-10E Cuisinart blade shattered while processing hummus in February 2016. I did not file any complaint, but ordered a new blade from Cuisinart's website. After waiting over a month with the status of Backorder, I cancelled my order. In June I placed another order, and received a new blade that is constructed differently; presumably they had fixed the problem. The blade cost $52 which Cuisinart will not reimburse, but will instead send me a replacement blade per the recall program. I don't need a second blade, but I guess I should have asked for a replacement back in February.
