While having dinner Saturday night, November 19, 2016, our Kenmore Model 721.86012010 began to operate. I tried to stop it by pressing the off button without result, opened the door without result and was forced to pull the plug from the outlet to get the microwave from operating. During this episode there was a microwaveable food cover inside the oven which was melted to the turntable. I was not able to find a recall on this product nor was the local Sears store able to suggest a fix other than to throw it out and buy a new one. This was an expensive combi unit which makes me believe it either needs to be repaired by Sears or replaced by Sears. This unit was purchased in 08/12/2012.

We were lucky to be home when this incident occurred or I suspect we may have had a major fire. It is no longer possible to trust this unit so it remains unplugged and out of service until a repair can be made.
