On 01/18/15 the consumer turned on the switch to the dining room, by flipping the switch. The consumer walked away into the next room and about 5 minutes later heard a loud explosion. The consumer noticed the light bulb had exploded and the glass was everywhere. The consumer states the light fixture is above the dining table and he found glass approximately 8 feet from the light fixture. The consumer states the glass from the light bulb was moist. The consumer states the fixture is about 3 feet from the cook stove. The consumer believes the moisture from the stove may have reached the bulb and contributed to the bulb exploding.

The consumer states he would turn the light on daily.

The consumer states the light bulb was in the fixture for about a month before the incident occurred. There are no prior incidents.

The consumer removed the bulb from the fixture and has all the glass pieces in his possession.

The consumer states there are 2 bulbs in the fixture, however, the other bulb works fine.
