Purchased a new GE Color Changing LED Night Light (Model #10908) from Fred Meyer in Seattle, WA on 11/23/13. At home I attempted to plug the night light into a couple of hallway outlets but the light wouldn't come on. There were no other signs of defect, so I thought maybe the light needed some time to warm up or possibly needed a darker area. I then plugged it into a bathroom outlet (which we use regularly) and left the room. About 5 minutes later my wife came into the bathroom. While she was there she heard a loud pop and looked over to see the night light had caught fire. Fortunately she was able to remove the nightlight from the plug before the fire could spread. There is at least one Amazon.com user reviewer who mentions the same thing happening with this model.
