Me and my daughter was watching tv last night, in our family den. We have a little forced air space heater we purchased last winter. This is an item we use off and on. It's a PELONIS Model HF-0020T with I think serial number:3068797.

We had it on the highest setting and it was working fine. All of a sudden a loud fizzling noise came from the heater, with a big sparking flash inside. All of a suddne it caught fire inside where the cord wiring inside meets with the outside cord. It smelled like rubber burning so I unplugged the device and extinguished the flame. I looked underneath the item and there was a small hole from the arcing wire inside.

The item in my opinion just simply sparked and caught fire inside.

I called the manufacturer, whose phone is listed on the item. They are supposed to call me back with answers today, Nov. 14th.

I do have pictures.
