In August of 2006, we purchased a Jenn-Air outdoor gas grill from Lowe's. (Model # 720-0165.) We tried to go to Lowe's to speak to someone, but they claim that they no longer sell Jenn-Air or any parts associated with Jenn-Air. The only person who uses the grill is my husband. It is used only during the summer months, and he takes very good care of it. We have become increasingly concerned each time we use it, that there is something very wrong with it and that someone will get hurt by it. The outside of the grill is way hotter than it should be. We don't let our children or any visitors walk anywhere near it! My husband can barely lift the handle without getting severely burned. Heat seems to be shooting toward the front of the grill. The ignitor buttons no longer seem to be working.

This appliance has been cared for meticulously by my husband...there is no way that this is normal wear and tear. When not in use, it is always covered. Also, my husband is a person who is a certified installer of high-end appliances such as [REDACTED], so I have confidence that he knows what he is talking about when he says that this gas grill is defective and/or made with sub-par dangerous materials!

We are not generally people who file complaints , but when one clearly sees that something is wrong, action must be taken to correct it before someone gets hurt! We use it with extreme caution, but I am sure there are others who don't know the dangers of it.
