Consumer wanted to report that his daughter's stroller is a safety concern. The caller stated that the stroller is very susceptible to tipping over if the product is in the folded up position. He stated that the product was not stable and on two occasions his daughter of nearly 2 years old pushed the product over. The consumer's daughter was not injured in either incident, however she very well may have been. Consumer called the manufacturer 3 months ago and believes he spoke with [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] had told him that they were going to look into the issue and explore any possible design changes. The company called him back on Friday morning May 20th and was told that there were no design changes and offered no other assistance. The manufacturer also told him that something must have exerted a strong force make the stroller topple The consumer has yet to call the retailer. The first incident took place in January, while the second incident took place in the beginning of April. The consumer stated that the stroller is more stable if it is in the folded up position and leaning on a wall, with the storage basket to the wall. The consumer felt it was imperative to report this issue to the CPSC.

Chicco appreciates all customer feedback. We are sorry that we did not meet this customer’s expectation for the performance of the product. The consumer’s performance concern is typical to most strollers of this type. Folded strollers should be stored in a way that the stroller is not within the reach of small children.
