I purchased a 3 piece set of Belgique Skillet Cookware from Macy's. The 8", 10", and 12" pieces are designed with a rubber like insert embedded in the underside of each handle. I asumed that the rubber was there to prevent your hand from slipping when the pan is lifted ? However, I discovered that after the pans are washed, water is allowed to seep between the rubber and metal part of the handle. I have burned my hands unknowingly more than once trying to pickup a hot skillet. When the pan heats up the trapped water inside the handle turns to steam and is released causing the burn injury.

Each pan is described as "Tools of the Trade" Belgique Stainless Steel # 11299
