    Incident Description: Dehumidifier compressor appears to have seized up, becoming hot enough to produce a burnt plastic odor. This odor alerted the home's occupants of a problem, at which time the appliance was unplugged and removed from the house's interior.

    Incident Description: Dehumidifier overheated, started smoking and caught on fire in my basement. Caused thousands of dollars in property damage.

    (7/17/2014) I replied to the customer on 07/16/2014 to follow up with them and make sure they have contacted the recall center with their unit and claim details. If the customer's issue has not been resolved, I will assist with getting the details to the recall center.
