    Incident Description: Rowenta Iron 1700W max, model DZ5065 used for long time, caught fire. Plugged iron in, set to silk, started on fire within few minutes before being used. Unplugged the iron and thru it outside.

    Incident Description: Plugged iron in outlet. Within 2 minutes, heard a crackle and smelled smoke. Looked down to see the cord / plug on fire. Fire burned through entire electrical cord at the base of the plug. Fire was put out and plug removed from wall.
