Development and Public Engagement Timeline
CPSIA requires CPSC to create a publicly accessible, searchable database of consumer product incident reports within 18 months of CPSC's report to Congress on a detailed plan for operating and maintaining the database. CPSC submitted the report on September 11, 2009, so the database will launch by March 11, 2011.
